Position Summary: Develops cognitive based programs and provides structured group activities to person served to develop life skills and personal enrichment through meaningful activities and to meet specific rehabilitation needs. Participates in treatment team meetings, develops day program treatment goals, and maintains administrative responsibilities. Provides leadership to staff and person served in assigned group room.

Bancroft is a leading service-provider for children and adults with autism, other intellectual or developmental disabilities or those in need of neurological rehabilitation.   We provide a full continuum of highly effective services — for people of all ages and every level of abilities — based on best practices and scientifically proven techniques. Our services include special education, vocational training, supported employment, structured day programs, group home and apartment programs both on-campus and in the community, short-term behavioral stabilization services for children, and in-home and outpatient rehabilitation services.     The Therapeutic Activities Specialist provides supportive and structured day services that develop life skills and personal enrichment through meaningful and productive activities. Develops active treatment programs designed to further enhance the skills of each person by using, but not limited to, music, art, horticulture, health and wellness, and/or multi-sensory experiences.   Background in Performing Arts requested, and ability to play an instrument (Guitar, Ukulele, Keyboard) preferred.
