The Facilities Coordinator provides oversight, direct involvement in, and coordination of matters related to maintaining the quality of facilities and their operations. Communicates effectively with work team, landlords, township offices, utility companies, and contractors.
Provides assistance to the Cooks in the preparation, clean up, and service of food to students/persons served that meet approved quality, nutrition, health and safety regulations and requirements. Under the guidance of the Food services Manager and the following specific menu and preparation instructions, provides assistance in the preparation and serving of daily meals for students/persons served in the Bancroft School.Prepares food for serving, arranges serving trays, and replenishes serving lines as necessary, to ensure the availability of prepared foods throughout the course of the meal. Properly operates, cleans, and sanitizes kitchen work area, countertops, equipment, supplies, and tools to ensure a safe and healthy work environment at all times. Properly stores food, leftovers, etc., in accordance with approved food storage and refrigeration requirements. Participates in the preparation and serving of foods for special catered events sponsored by Bancroft; e.g., Board meetings, special conferences, committee meetings, etc.; as required. Performs other food service and food preparation activities, as required. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by organizational and departmental needs.Remains current with required training certifications, meets state-regulated licensing and regulatory accreditations, and adheres to mandatory requirements
Collaborates on the development, implementation and monitoring of National school lunch program with both the Kitchen manager and the school business manager. Stay informed with all new rules and regulations administered by the child nutrition department and work with the school business manager and Kitchen manager in implementing and training the staff.
Insure the Food Service department is in compliance with the National School Breakfast/Lunch Program and all health and public safety regulations.
Coordinate meal services with the school’s kitchen etc
Education & Experience:
Minimum of a High school degree plus a minimum of one year of related work experience (educational setting preferred).
Food service training and experience; also the ability to obtain Food Service and Sanitation certification. Ability to read, write and communicate in English to understand directions and communicate with students and staff. Ability to physically move about the cafeteria and kitchen. Ability to make decisions in accordance with established procedures. Effective verbal and written communication, analysis, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills required. Valid driver’s license required in incumbent’s legal name and current address with no provisional restrictions.
