    Bancroft is currently seeking a full-time School Food Service Coordinator for our Bancroft School in Mt. Laurel, NJ.


    Position Summary:

    Oversee all aspects of the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs at the Bancroft Schools.

    Coordinate meal services with the school’s cafeteria.

    Process applications for meal benefits to each household and approve and/or deny applications for meal benefits under the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs.

    Conduct a monthly edit of meal counts, and submit claims for reimbursement to SNEARS.

    Assist in the monitoring and review of breakfast and lunch program procedures in order to maintain compliance with the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program guidelines.

    Assist the kitchen manager in the menu planning according to Federal and State guidelines.

    Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures.

    Supervise the utilization of POS system in the operation of the cafeteria and act as a backup.

    Maintain necessary files and records.

    Develop a school wellness policy and run the quarterly School wellness committee. 

    Responsible for supervising and managing a group of administrative assistants.

    Attend and participate in professional development opportunities.

    Maintains open and effective communications, both verbal and written, with interdisciplinary teams, colleagues, and co-workers.

    Follows state-approved emergency procedures and Bancroft trained and approved crisis intervention techniques at all times.

    Maintains awareness of current best-practices in the field of applied behavior analysis. 
    Participates in providing proper training on changing methods and techniques to ensure the provision of quality program care. 


    Education & Experience:

    Minimum high school diploma or GED required with at least 2 years' experience in coordinating a student nutrition program in accordance with USDA regulation. At least 1 year Managerial experience will be required. Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
