About the Transition Education Program
Over the years, Bancroft has continued as a leader in our field, making our extensive experience just one of the many benefits of a Bancroft education. The Bancroft Transition School Program has a position available for a Special Education Paraprofessional. The Bancroft Post-Secondary Preparation & Transition Program has successfully supported hundreds of students with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities in their transition from school to jobs and adult programs.The program provides vocational training and job-placement for students ages 18, and is based at Bancroft’s main campus in Haddonfield, N.J. For students with a higher level of independence, Bancroft offers an advanced version of the program at Camden County College in Blackwood, N.J
As a member of the education team, provides ongoing job assessment, job development, skills training, and on-site job coaching to students to identify, maintain, and enhance community-based employment both on- and off-campus.
Education & Experience:
At least 60 college credits required. Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in a related field with prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
