Operating under a servant leadership philosophy, this position prioritizes serving, supporting, and empowering staff teams to drive deep engagement for both employees and the individuals we support.

Responsibilities

  1. Servant Leadership & Culture Cultivation
  • Model and instill a servant leadership culture across all training programs, shifting the managerial mindset from enforcement to support, empathy, and employee empowerment.
  • Infuse training curricula with strategies that promote the active, meaningful engagement and autonomy of the individuals we support.
  • Train leadership on staff engagement and retention techniques to build strong, cohesive, and motivated residential teams.
  • Champion person-centered care values across all training modules and organizational levels.
  1. Manager Training & Competency Development
  • Design and launch a comprehensive onboarding and training program specifically for all new residential managers.
  • Develop competency-based testing models to objectively measure and verify manager readiness.
  • Create practical "Quick Guides" for critical operational needs, explicitly outlining who to call for what and the allotted timeframes for escalation.
  • Bridge the gap between theoretical compliance regulations and daily on-the-ground operational execution.
  1. QA Realignment & Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration
  • Partner with Behavioral, Medical, and Operational teams to identify and support existing managers who require targeted skill-building in specific areas.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) to convert audit deficiencies, medication variances, and incident trends into immediate, actionable retraining modules.
  • Build professional growth tracks to cultivate the skills of high-potential staff interested in internal advancement.
  • Evaluate and overhaul the existing Tier 2 training framework to maximize engagement and practical skill building.
  • Provide strategic oversight for Senior Associate training tracks to prepare them for future leadership roles.
  1. LMS Systems, Data, & Feedback Loops
  • Develop and implement systems to collect continuous feedback from training participants to evaluate course effectiveness and drive iterative improvements.
  • Own and manage the training pipeline within UKG Pro Learning, utilizing it as the primary system of record for tracking completion rates and feedback data.
  • Source and integrate external training materials from platforms including Relias, LinkedIn Learning, and industry-specific resources.
  • Ensure all training curricula comply with current state IDD licensing, Medicaid, HCBS waivers, and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor one Operations Coordinator, delegating administrative tasks, UKG data entry, and course scheduling.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Education, or a related field required OR 5 years of leadership experience within IDD residential or HCBS programs and training.
  • Proven track record of designing training programs, curricula, or competency assessments.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Demonstrated commitment to servant leadership principles and a supportive, team-first management style.
  • System proficiency with UKG Pro (Learning/LMS) and specialized platforms like Relias is highly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of IDD residential regulations, clinical/behavioral intersections, and quality assurance standards.
  • Expertise in instructional design, survey methodology (for feedback collection), and creating simplified escalation workflows.
  • Strong data literacy with the ability to track completion metrics and translate user feedback into program improvements.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence to build trust across clinical, medical, and operational departments.
