The Revenue Cycle Data and Systems Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and performance of
revenue cycle data and technology systems. This role focuses on optimizing system configuration, managing clearinghouse
functions, and supporting key processes that directly impact reimbursement accuracy and operational efficiency.
Responsibilites:
1. Serves as a subject matter expert for revenue cycle EHR systems, clearinghouse, and contracting platforms.
2. Maintains and builds payor code rules, group plan processes, fee schedule alignments, and payer rate structures to
ensure accurate charge capture and compliance with payer contracts.
3. Collaborates with IT, Finance, and Operations to align data definitions, ensure consistent reporting, and maintain
system security.
4. Assists with system user training, trouble shooting, software testing and implementation, to improve system adoption
and accuracy across the revenue cycle team.
5. Identify opportunities for process improvement.
6. Supports implementation and integration projects for new technologies or system enhancements.
7. Assists with Special Projects to support process automation, data validation, and technology optimization initiatives.
8. Completes system maintenance processes such as automation manager, batch service maintenance, duplicates, and
voids.
9. Maintains overall knowledge of State and Payer Regulations and Contract Terms.
10. Partner with RCM leadership and cross-functional teams.
11. Monitors and adheres to all compliance standards.
12. Abides by the Bancroft Code of Ethics, Mission Statement, and Vision Statement in promoting ethical behavior,
establishing relationships and providing guidance in decision-making situations.
13. Performs other duties as assigned or as necessary. Remain flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work
assignments as defined by departmental needs. Remains current with required training certifications, meet state-
regulated licensing and regulatory accreditations, and adhere to mandatory requirements.
14. Maintains effective verbal and written communications with colleagues, those served, and their family members
and/or guardians when applicable.
15. Maintains a safe and respectful environment, free of abuse, neglect, or exploitation; and does not allow weapons,
threats, bullying, or intimidation.
16. Reports any violations to the appropriate individual as soon as the incident occurs.
