Bancroft is currently seeking a Special Education Supervisor to lead our school located in Mt Laurel, NJ. The Education Supervisor provides supervision, coaching, and mentoring to Classroom Teachers of Disabilities and Supplemental Teachers and/or educational staff. Supports and provides assistance to the Principal, faculty members, and staff members in specialty/clinical-specific disciplines to contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the educational program for students.
More Than a Classroom
The Bancroft School is a unique educational program that aims to empower students with autism by providing teachable moments throughout their day. In addition to traditional academic subjects, the program also focuses on daily living and social skills. Art and music, along with Adaptive Physical Education and Enrichment activities and an activity pool for water safety, swim instruction, and recreation are all part of the Bancroft experience.
Education & Experience:
Master’s Degree in Education or related field and a certification from the N.J. Department of Education required with a N.J. Supervising certificate also required. Minimum of three years of prior related experience required.
Special Skills:
Ability to evaluate, design, and implement teaching methodologies. Knowledge of teaching methods and educational programs designed for students with learning, physical and behavior disabilities. Effective teaching and facilitation
skills required. Effective verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills required. Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to implement crisis intervention techniques required. Effective prioritization,
organization, lesson planning, and time management skills required. Valid driver’s license required in incumbent’s legal name and current address with no provisional restrictions. Minimum 18 years of age required.
