Responsibilities

Responsible for global cash management, global credit card process management and cash forecasting, including management of cash receipts, cash application and reconciliation, ensuring that all payments received are accurately entered and posted/applied in the billing system.  Performs highly complex accounting activities, analyzes financial data, and prepares related reports in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures.  Ensures compliance with Bancroft policies and procedures, federal, state and local fiscal management laws and regulations, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Understands, manages and supervises cash flow.
  • Forecasts daily cash requirements.
  • Prepares cash projections and performs financial modeling.
  • Evaluates, develops and implements cash management systems to optimize efficiencies through innovative system enhancements for workflows and tasks.
  • Understands and manages appropriate accounting procedures and processes.
  • Monitors bank service fees and addresses quality issues.
  • Manages daily cash balances, including daily balance reporting, lockbox & counter check deposits.
  • Researches cash transactions as requested by Revenue Cycle or Accounting teams.
  • Manages the treasury closing process including all reporting requirements.
  • Administers online user access to banking systems, in partnership with Service Line management.
  • Provides schedules, reports and support for annual audits
  • Manages Resident Trust Funds account system and monthly disbursements related to Social Security funds
  • Prepare and monitor monthly Accounts Receivable roll forward
  • Prepare and analyze unapplied cash dashboards, working with team to resolve outstanding accounts
  • Works in multiple billing systems and clearinghouse portals
  • Manages Resident Fund Management Service system
  • Owner of monthly cash log to reconcile all cash receipts related to accounts receivable
  • Provides leadership and guidance to staff members within direct areas of responsibility. Effectively manages ongoing job performance of direct reports through coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary and/or corrective action when appropriate.
  • Performs other duties and special assignments, as required. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments, based on organizational and departmental needs.
  • Upon request, willingly cooperates with senior management, or any federal, state or local agency or licensing authority, in connection with ongoing inspections and investigations.
  • Remains current with required training certifications, meets state-regulated licensing and regulatory accreditations, and adheres to mandatory requirements.

In addition to the necessary skills and experience to perform the responsibilities outlined above, there are a number of traits that a qualified candidate will possess.

 

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

 

BS in Accounting, Finance or related field required.  Minimum seven years of experience, with at least three in Cash/Treasury or related role.  Minimum two years of supervisory/management or equivalent experience required.

 

Special Skills:

 

Effective knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, as well as financial analysis.  Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and prioritization skills.  Effective and proven leadership and supervisory skills.  Expertise in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
