Overview

Patient Access / Scheduler: Bancroft NeuroRehab, an outpatient neurological rehabilitation facility has a full time position open, titled Program Access Specialist, in the Plainsboro, NJ area.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting patients and families, collecting & entering demographic and insurance information, collecting payments associated with services rendered and reconciliation of daily services 
  • Scheduling appointments for patients receiving PT, OT, SLP, Cognitive and Psychotherapy services. 
  •  Answers and triages telephone calls, distributes mail, performs fax transmissions and initial steps in the process of medical record requests. 
  • Working with medical records and following HIPAA regulations
  • Other duties and administrative support and projects as required
  • Communicates in a courteous, caring manner to all patients, clinicians and staff as needed
  • Candidates will be expected to work a 8 hour shift between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm from Monday to Friday 

 

This is a non-exempt position with an annual estimated between $37K -$45k per year.

Qualifications

The desired candidate will have:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Experience in the medical field or rehabilitation facility is preferred but is not required. 
  • Requirements include strong writing ability (in terms of clarity, accuracy and proper use of grammar), interpersonal skills, ability to work with a diverse group of people and teamwork abilities. Knowledge of accreditation and licensing requirements would also be helpful.
